NEENAH
Neenah, the house and feature dancer at Cafe Istanbul, is the owner of Authentic Belly Dancing Entertainment & Academy and director of its professional troupe “The Harem Jewels.” Hailed by the local press as the “Queen of Quarters and Shot Glasses” and “Dallas’ Favorite Belly Dancer,” Neenah is total entertainment and is in constant demand for her performances as a soloist and with her Awesome Troupe “The Harem Jewels”. Neenah feels privileged working with the Harem Jewels and loves them because as she says not only are they hardworking, but so down to earth and dedicated to the dance. With her energy and love for the beautiful art of belly dance, Neenah continues to focus on the retro-style form of entertainment which she refers to as Vintage Style. She received early training from Angelika and Zeyna, who were star performers in Dallas during the 1980’s and 90’s, well known for their stage presence, excellent musical interpretation and unmatched dance style. In addition to teaching classes and directing the troupe, Neenah performs and teaches seminars around the country, and is preparing to take on more opportunities to perform internationally both as a soloist and with her troupe.

Shimmying my way through life, one hip circle at a time I’m a belly dance enthusiast and passionate about the art of movement. I dance for the joy it brings me, the thrill of performance, and the sense of community. When I’m not working, you can find me practicing my isolation, perfecting my props, or dancing the night away at a local special event. Dance is my happy place, my stress relief, and my creative outlet. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my love of belly dancing with others and inspire them to find their own rhythm and movement. As a member of the Harem Jewels, I am in awe of all the experiences and opportunities to learn and share the art of belly dancing. I love performing and meeting people who adore the Harem Jewels of Dallas!!!

I am a multi-faceted woman who wears many sparkling costumes! I’m a dedicated entrepreneur, running my own business with passion and purpose, and in my free time I transform into a belly dance enthusiast, shimmying my way through life feeding my soul with the art of belly dance with fire and grace. I’m proud to be a strong, creative, and driven woman, embracing all aspects of my life with joy and enthusiasm! As a member of Harem Jewels, I am so proud of our team as we work hard, practice, share ideas, sew costumes to prepare for all the special events we are hired for. The audience love us because we bring so much joy to them in our awesome performances.
AISHA
Aisha works in healthcare administration particularly in quality improvement. She loves to read, volunteer, travel and of
course dance! She has been teaching traditional Eritrean dances to kids to perform at community events for the past decade. She started belly dance classes at the authentic belly dance academy. She notes that she has been n having fun while simultaneously exercising her body. As a new member of the Harem Jewels, she is so excited to dance and enjoys all the hard work, and experiences of dancing for so many venues that love the Harem Jewels!
